A Few Words About Us

My name is Amy.  I started Revolutionary Chicken in 2019 after raising small flocks of chickens in my backyard for eight years.

Filling the void

I started raising chickens in 2011.  I was astonished at the lack of products available for raising backyard chickens.  Why did chicken feeders have to be so waste-prone and attract mice?  Did watering chickens have to be such a chore?  If we're supposed to feed chickens oyster shells, where could I  get a reasonably priced oyster shell feeder?

With the help of a son who is a whiz at 3D Design, I have come up with the products that I wish had been available to me when I started raising chickens.

As we started to design and manufacture products, my enjoyment of raising chickens grew.  These products allow you to be a little "lazy" while raising chickens, and yet everything still works great!

I only promote products that I believe in and use, so you won't see ads on this website.

I also try to methodically answer questions I have--and you might have to--like what is the best way to grow fodder, or what heater should I use for my chicken's waterer in the winter?

I’m all about doing things that will save you (and me) time, money, and still keep our backyard chickens healthy and happy.   If you are wondering if chickens are right for you--if you have a full plate but still want eggs on your plate...then you are in the right place.
