Chickens need grit to help them digest their food, especially if they don’t free range.

Thank you so much for that feedback! I think including screws is a great idea. I figured that everyone probably had screws already because it’s a pretty universal size head, but it would probably be simpler for people if I included them so they don’t need to hunt around.

The Grit and Oyster Shell feeders are useful and adorable! My little chickens received these as a belated Christmas gift. I love having the cute and useful dispensers for the grit and shell. (I wasted so much grit and shell previously, by just scattering it everywhere. Or the chickens would fling it everywhere.) I just put the feeders in the coop today, but they seem like they are durable. The Revolutionary Chicken customer service is outstanding! I would definitely buy from this company again and recommend Revolutionary Chicken to other Chicken people!

I bought two pairs of these, one for the coop and one for the run. Installed the run set. (I’m glad they come with the screws now!) I was impressed with the quality, they are as adorable as they are in the pictures, and my chickens love them. It’s so much easier having the grit and shells in a secure feeder that doesn’t get knocked over or pooped in. It’s clean, you can always see when you need to refill, and the chickens know where to get what they need. I’m looking forward to mounting the other set once we do some work on the coop door.

got these via Amazon. Cute and sturdy. I’m just starting out with chickens. It’ll be a few months before they make it out to the coop and start using these but I’m sure they’re gonna be great! My husband and I are in the construction industry so we think these are well made.
