DIY Waterer Combo Kit

Which waterer to choose?  Cups or nipples?  Chickens tend prefer drinking out of autofill cups over nipples, but autofill cups aren’t very helpful in the winter.  Nipples will stay thawed in the winter with a heater (see the listing for waterer heater).  So…why not BOTH!?

This combination waterer kit gives your chickens the best of both worlds: extremely easy water access, and the ability to use it in the winter (with a heater–see the listing for a heater).  Comes with two autofill cups, four nipples, and one drill bit that will install both.  The nipples are manufactured by Columbus Aqua in Denmark.  They are guaranteed not to leak.  All you need is a bucket or barrel.

To install nipples, simply drill the holes with the drill bit provided and screw in the nipples.  No plumber’s tape needed.  To install autofill cups, drill holes with the bit provided, screw a nipple into each hole, unscrew and remove nipple, and then screw in autofill cup.  The nipple widens the hole just enough to install the autofill cup with the same bit.

Note: Chickens do not need to learn to use the cups.  They are always full with water.  They will figure the nipples out pretty quickly.
